Timber prices in Ohio, spring 2026: by species and region

The stumpage table compares prices paid in spring 2026 (March to May) with fall 2025 (September to November), in dollars per thousand board feet, Doyle scale, by region (West, Northeast, Southeast) and for the state: number of respondents reporting, the spring 2026 range, mean and median, the fall 2025 mean and median, and the percent change. The report is a semi-annual survey of Ohio mills and buyers on prices paid for saw logs and stumpage, published each January and July; the same PDF also prices delivered saw logs by grade. Rows with one or two respondents are single sales, not a market, so read the N column first. Prices are already in Doyle, the rule used in the South and Appalachia, so no conversion column is added.
