Stumpage prices by region and product, in dollars per thousand board feet: the North region reports in Doyle MBF and the South region in International 1/4" MBF, as the units column says, so the two regions are not directly comparable and no conversion is applied. Each row gives the maximum, average and minimum price, the volume reported and the number of reports. The series' own method note, from the same project page: "Quarterly timber prices trends, based on a rolling average of reports received from state and private foresters over the previous 12 months. TPT should only be used as a general guide for determining market value of timber. General market and economic conditions, as well as local considerations such as accessibility, terrain, sale size, and tree size and quality also affect the price paid." Firewood rows, priced per green ton, are left out.
